For over 50 years Mitre 10 has been the local and independent hardware store to thousands of Australians. Our focus is on people, performance and providing great customer outcomes by working together and building partnerships.

 

Mitre 10 Tooronga are currently seeking 2 outgoing individuals to join the team. We are seeking one individual to join us as a Retail Assistant in our Paint Department and another to join our Trade Yard as a Customer Service and Forklift Operator. The successful candidates will be offered full time positions working across the full week. This role will provide excellent customer service and sound product advice.

 

Paint Department Position – Key Responsibilities

    • Tinting and mixing paint products to customer requirements
    • Assisting customers in store and over the phone on products and accessories
    • Processing sales and utilising point of sale system
    • Merchandising and maintenance of stock
    • Ensuring the health and safety of all fellow staff, customers and contractors

 

To be considered for the Paint Department role you must:

    • Prior retail experience
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Work in a fast paced environment
    • Demonstrate a strong customer focus
    • Sound knowledge of paint and associated products
    • Ability to be available for work across the full week
    • Prioritise workload to effectively meet deadlines

 

Trade Yard Customer Service/Forklift Operator Position – Key Responsibilities

    • Loading and unloading ingoing and outgoing trucks
    • Serving customers in the yard- helping them with their orders with fast and efficient service
    • Putting away stock, mainly timber and associated products
    • Picking orders to be sent out on delivery trucks
    • Ensuring the health and safety of all fellow staff, customers and contractors within their department
    • Provide accurate deliveries on time, with a high focus on customer service

 

To be considered for the Trade Yard Customer Service/Forklift Operator role you must:

    • Quality forklift experience
    • Demonstrate a strong customer focus.
    • Work in a fast paced environment
    • An eye for detail and a sense of urgency
    • Must be physically fit and able to be on your feet all day
    • Prioritise workload to effectively meet deadlines
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to be available for work across the 5 days of the week which may include the occasional Saturday
