Gonul Serbest

Gönül Serbest is the Chief Executive Officer of Global Victoria, responsible for leading the Government’s global engagement strategy. As part of this role, she operates the State’s international network of 22 trade and investment offices; leads a team that drives economic growth in Victoria by facilitating exports through the development of trade plans to key markets; and manages the State’s business investor and skilled migration programs to attract and retain the best global talent.

Over her years working in international trade, as both Deputy Secretary and Executive Director, Gönul has been instrumental in the development and execution of the largest trade missions to leave Australia into emerging markets and the largest inbound trade delegations to visit Victoria.  These programs have resulted in a number of significant collaborations and generated billions of dollars’ worth of additional
